Here at O&CC we believe that training our staff is core to how we provide excellent service to our customers. One of our values is around being passionate experts. We recruit people who are passionate about the outdoors and we develop them to become experts in t heir chosen field.
When you join our retail team, we provide you with a comprehensive induction so that you can learn about the company, our customer service ethos and effective sales techniques.
We then provide you with a set of clearly defined competencies and a learning log to ensure that you know exactly what you should be learning and who can provide you with the knowledge and skills required.
The Learning and Development team will run structured training academies throughout the year. We already run academies in:
– Running technologies
– Clothing technologies
– Snow sports equipment
When you join our Head Office, Customer Services or Warehouse teams you’ll join our one day induction programme, be allocated a buddy who will look after you until you find your feet and have access to our comprehensive e-learning platform.
We will also provide management training if you are managing staff or moving into management.
