Here at O&CC we believe that training our staff is core to how we provide excellent service to our customers. One of our values is around being passionate experts. We recruit people who are passionate about the outdoors and we develop them to become experts in their chosen field.
If you are joining a store we provide you with an induction programme so that you can learn about the company, our customer service ethos and effective sales techniques.
We then provide you with a set of clearly defined competencies and a learning log to ensure that you know exactly what you should be learning and who can provide you with the knowledge.
The Learning and Development team will then run structured training programmes throughout the year. In 2018 we will be running training programmes in:
- Cycling equipment
- Running technologies
- Clothing technologies
- Snow sports equipment
If you join our Head Office, Customer Services or Warehouse team then we will provide you with a one day induction programme, a buddy who will look after you until you find your feet and a comprehensive e-learning platform.
We will also provide management training if you are managing staff or moving into management.
So whether you join a store or whether you join us in Head Office we will provide you with development opportunities.
