Please note this role is predominantly working from home with 5-8 days per month based at our office in Kemble. This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

As part of the Outdoor and Cycle Concepts group, Cotswold Outdoor is joined by Runners Need and Snow + Rock to support outdoor enthusiasts by providing excellent customer service and a range of products from world leading brands, all whilst promoting and encouraging sustainability!

How will you make an impact?

  • Financial planning of future product ranges
  • Working with Buying colleagues to deliver market leading ranges within budgets
  • Leading the team in trading meeting and driving trading actions
  • Building strong supplier relationships and leading regular performance reviews
  • Building strong internal relationships with colleagues across the business including:
    • Retail Store teams – Regional Managers and VM Field Teams
    • Marketing – Promotional Activity, Product Launches, customer insight
    • Operations – Warehouse Management Teams, Customer Services
    • Finance – Supplier payments and query resolution
  • Maximising the potential from your team, through effective line management, coaching and Mentoring.

Please note this role is 40 hours per week.

You’ll fit right in if you:

  • Are an experienced Merchandiser with a proven track record
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Take a coaching and mentoring approach with a strong inclination to help others be their best
  • Understand the outdoor retail landscape, competitors, commercial insights and challenges
  • Are comfortable using advance excel formulas and functions
