Imagine working in the countryside, surrounded by trees and nature. That’s where you’ll be if you’re joining our Kemble office or warehouse (also lovingly known as Basecamp). Of course we have four walls and a roof to protect you from the rain, but we want our colleagues to be as close to the outdoors as possible.
You might find Basecamp gets a little quieter around lunch time, but that’s because our colleagues will be out and about in the Cotswold countryside. We even have a bike shed where you can pick up a bike and get on the road. But don’t worry, we have facilities so that you can come back and smell as fresh as a daisy.
If a calmer lunch break is more your style, you can relax in one of our many comfy spaces, challenge your colleagues to a game of futsal or soak up the sun in one of our outdoor hammocks. We’ve got a fully furnished kitchen where you can heat up your grub, boil your pot noodle or even cook a roast (believe us, it’s been done!).
As Runners Need started in London, we thought we’d stick to our roots and create a hub in the centre of this bustling capital city. Sitting above our Covent Garden Runners Need and Snow + Rock store, we call this office The Loft.
Although it may be a smaller office, our London-based colleagues are just as passionate about the outdoors, bringing us great ideas like run clubs and providing us with an exceptional range of gear for every type of runner. If you’re joining The Loft team, you can guarantee you’ll never be far from running expertise!
Our business is built around the customer, a shared love of the outdoors and our desire to provide the best service, best experience and the right kit for any adventure. We’re a growing company with great prospects and our people are key in helping us achieve our ambitions. If you join our team you’ll not only be joining one of the largest outdoor retailers in the UK, you’ll become a member of our outdoor family.
We run in depth training courses which cater for all, whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced outdoor enthusiast, you can add another string to your bow when you take part in courses like:
- Winter Skills
- Mountain and Hill Climbing
- GPS, Footwear and Camping academies
With the help of our qualified instructors our colleagues are able to test out the latest products in the environments they were designed for, giving you the tools needed to provide our customers with excellent advice during their visits.
Our colleagues are always planning their next adventure whether it’s a climb, trek or run. It’s this first-hand experience and knowledge that gets passed on to our customers and helps them make informed decisions on the best product for their needs.
At O&CC we truly value what our colleagues have to say which is why you’ll have the opportunity to put forwards your comments, ideas and thoughts at our Colleague Voice forum. Our colleagues bring a variety of experience to the table and we believe this is a key contribution to organisational success.
